“The loneliest people are the kindest. The saddest people smile the brightest. The most damaged people are the wisest. All because they do not wish to see anyone else suffer the way they do.”
I couldn’t agree more.
Hi Spider! Hope all is well.
It was lovely meeting you, I appreciate what you do. People of your caliber, keep me strong, and not want to give up. I feel like I’ve finally beat the “depression” I’ve been struggling with. You really hit home for me when i listen to your motivational speeches. Growing up in shelters, constantly moving around, I’ve been to over 10 different schools growing up. I’ve lived at malvern, 4010 Lawrence etc. My father being abusive verbally, mentally, emotionally. He left 2 years ago, and during that time I was able to heal myself through books and meditation.
I’m turning 30 in June and I’ve finally come to peace with my past, I forgive my father and i pray he is doing well. I believe that what he did to me, my mother, sisters and brothers, made me who I am today. I’ve finally beat depression, i have hope and i have confidence. I’m not a “victim” anymore. I want to give back..I’ve cut my hours at work so I have some spare time. I would love to volunteer at one of your centers. If there is a position available, I’d love to fill it.
Bless you and all you do.
