Dear Artist,

On Saturday September 11th 2010 Sherway Gardens Shopping Centre, Artworld of Sherway and Newstalk 1010 media personality, award winning author and former Golden Glove Boxing Champion SPIDER JONES will host the 2010 “Spider in the Gardens” Live and Silent Art Auction.

Artworld of Sherway and Sherway Gardens Shopping Centre hold an annual art benefit for Spider's 'Believe to Achieve' Charitable Organization, whose mission is to inspire ‘At Risk Kids’, provide funding for bursaries for promising students and to help troubled teens realize they can achieve their dreams by remaining in school. As Spider says ' Education is the great liberator'. This year we need your help for kids who are sidelined by the lack of a chance to excel. Please support Spider through the donation of a piece of original art!

By choosing to donate not only will you be supporting this very worthy charity – but Spider will support you and here’s how…

Spider Jones has such a high standing in the media world and is so well respected for his work with 'At Risk Kids' that media outlets including City TV, Sun TV, 1010 Newstalk radio (Listen to Spider live on 1010 - Sundays from 4:00 to 6:00 PM) have, once again, supported his efforts with significant air time. This means that he is able to promote the excellent work his charity does - and the donors that support him.

Not only will your work be promoted on these media outlets and on the websites of both Artworld of Sherway & Believe to Achieve Foundation, but Spider will hold a draw in which each donating artist is entered. The prize for the 10 donating artists drawn will be live airtime on a Sunday Show Special 'Spiders Web of Artists' - on Newstalk 1010. The 10 artists drawn will be interviewed about their work by Spider live on the air. As an art dealer, I know that this type of media attention is invaluable to any artist, so join all of us and help make what could be a life saving difference for 'Spider's Kids'.

Here is what we need from you…

An original painting (any medium – any size - framing is not necessary as it is being donated by Fotiou Frames again!), photograph, sculpture, glass, ceramic or other work of art. For cataloguing purposes, we need your donation by no later than August 15th, 2010. Please include your biography and contact information. If you can get it to me by August 15th, I will be able to include your promotional material in the 300 gift bags, which will be given to each invited guest.

Any one wishing to donate more than one piece is welcome to do so and will be given an extra entry for the draw. Believe to Achieve Foundation is a registered charity and you will receive a receipt for tax purposes.
