Chuck “Spider” Jones

Founded by former boxing champion Chuck “Spider” Jones, BTA is able to speak to its participants/members on a personal level, using a combination of credibility and long-term impact. At BTA, we strive to provide intentional programs and mentoring services. We go beyond just lending a helping hand; our programs and services include employment training and placements, job search assistance, academic and athletic scholarship support and counselling to name a few.

At BTA, we believe actions speak louder than words. This means that we do not just “tell” our children and youth in our programs how they can achieve success, we provide them with the opportunities and resources to do it. We open doors for children and youth by helping them develop knowledge, leadership skills, and positive outlooks while developing healthy coping mechanisms in dealing with all levels of challenges throughout their lives. This also assists them as most of them deal with complex high elevated risk factors within their lives and their communities.

How can you achieve success if you do not know what you are working towards? We teach our participants/members to envision the future they want through teaching self-actualization and through self-esteem counselling. At BTA, we believe achievement starts with believing in yourself.

At Believe to Achieve, it is our goal to create a community where every single child and youth feels empowered, loved and supported. Through community outreach groups, motivational seminars, workshops and our after-school programming, we are trying to do just that. Believe to Achieve is more than any single person, it is a community working together for the common good.

Together, we are building sustainable “life” foundations for the future. Help us continue the legacy of this organization so we can continue to provide essential services, free of charge, to this community.
